WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OT
Before an initial consultation you or a support person will be asked to fill in a form so we know a little more about you before meeting.
At the initial consultation, it is beneficial to have a support person present as this is our opportunity to get a clear picture of why you may need OT. The initial consultation is usually where goals are developed as a team.
Depending on your goals, you and your Occupational Therapist will decide if you would like to continue engaging with our service.
WHEN DO I NEED TO SEE AN OT?
This question can be difficult to answer and there is no clear cut answer. However, if you're noticing that you or a person you know is not engaging in the same way that their peers are, then it is always a good idea to be assessed and be informed.
