SOME HANDY BITS TO KEEP YOU GOING IN THE MEANTIME!
Here are some free resources
Having access to these may give you some ideas to try out on your own.
VISUAL SCHEDULES

Here are two basic examples which we created that can be edited as needed. You can get lots of basic images by searching for the topic followed by 'clipart' on google (eg: 'going to toilet clip art'). It is also often useful to have actual pictures of the person pretending to do the task as the visual.

ADVOCACY SUPPORT

TRANSLATING AND INTERPRETING SERVICES:

It is important that you are informed and can understand what is being communicated. If you or your main support does not speak English as a first language (even if you/they can understand some English), we have access to a free translating and interpreting service.

The service we use is ‘Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) National’, which provides onsite/in-person and telephone interpreting services by independent, qualified interpreters and translators. It is important to us that you can join in and understand sessions and communication with us.

We are happy to support you in accessing this service. If you would like further information, feel free to ask us, or contact TIS directly.
